What Does "Massive Action" Actually Mean?
How to know your moves matter.
Welcome to my weekly reset for clarity, confidence, and calm. Each Monday, I share 4 simple ideas to help you quickly realign, make a plan, and proceed in creating a life you love on your terms.
R — Reveal Your Focus
If You Don’t Know Who You Are Yet, Help Someone Else Figure It Out.
Kevin Hart was recently on The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett, where he was asked if he could name any male role models from his childhood.
Like many kids, Kevin grew up in a family dynamic where his parents weren’t consistently present in the same way. What stood out most wasn’t one singular figure—it was the collective impact of good people who showed up throughout his day. Adults who supported his mom’s demanding work schedule. People who paid attention. People who cared.
But one moment changed everything.
Kevin mentioned Alice, a coworker at a shoe store who told him he was funny. Not in a casual way—but in a way that made him see humor as more than just a personality trait. Because of her, he began to believe it could be something useful. Something worth trying. That belief is what led him to step onto a stage for the first time.
That’s the quiet power of helping someone else see themselves clearly.
If you’re unsure of your own path—or even if you feel confident in it—practice naming what you notice in others. Tell someone where they seem naturally gifted. Reflect back what feels obvious to you but invisible to them.
Clarity has a way of revealing itself in motion. And sometimes the fastest way to find your focus… is helping someone else find theirs.
My friend Alison was that person for me.
Back in 2008, after I’d been uploading videos to YouTube for a while, I was hanging out at her house when she asked me to help her understand a few social media features. I walked her through it easily—without thinking twice about it. She looked at me and said, “You could do this for a living.”
That was the first time I ever considered my fun hobby as anything more than just that. I never imagined it would turn into a dream career, bestselling books, or a seven-figure business. But it started with someone else seeing something in me before I fully saw it myself. You never know when a single sentence becomes someone’s turning point. And that alone makes you a powerful role model.

L — Lead Your Movement
Authority Isn’t Posted. It’s Positioned.
Recently, I sat down with Michael Stelzner on the Social Media Marketing Podcast to talk about something I care way too much about (in the best way): how to establish real thought leadership on YouTube. The kind of authority that makes people remember your name and know exactly what you do. We went into why YouTube still wins for authority (yes, even if you’re “an Instagram person”), how long-form content creates deeper trust faster, and how to stop making titles that sound clever… but don’t get clicked.
Here’s a quick spoiler: write your next title as a promise, not a label. Don’t name the topic. Name the outcome. Instead of “My 2026 Content Strategy,” try “How to Get Clients Without Posting Every Day.” Instead of “Branding Tips,” try “The 3-Sentence Positioning Fix That Makes People Understand You.” Make it obvious, make it specific, and make it about the audience’s struggles. Then go watch the interview because we break down exactly how to do this (without turning into a full-time YouTuber).
E — Elevate Your Impact
The Truth About Massive Action
Massive action isn’t measured by how many tasks you touch. It’s measured by the results created by the few tasks you take dangerously seriously. This kind of focus is ruthless by necessity. It requires choosing a single direction—and committing to it long enough to be misunderstood by people who are still measuring progress by busyness.
Until next week… Go after the life you want!
